Honoring the Strength of Your Journey
A Vow Renewal is a powerful statement of enduring love. It is a time to look back at the life you’ve built and the joy you still find in one another. Whether you are celebrating five years or fifty, I help you craft a ritual that honors the "now" just as much as the "then."
The Ritual of Recommitment
The Retrospective: Honoring the history you share and the foundation you have laid together.
New Vows for New Times: Updating your promises to reflect the growth and wisdom you’ve gained throughout your years together.
Re-Blessing of the Rings: Renewing the symbols you have worn every day, charging them with fresh energy.
The Sacred Space
While your original vows were the seed, the life you have built since is the garden. As a practicing Pagan, I can facilitate a full Casting of the Circle or Calling of the Directions to create a sanctified space for your recommitment. By invoking the stability of Earth, the clarity of Air, the passion of Fire, and the devotion of Water, we honor the elements that have sustained your relationship through every season of your marriage.
Personalizing Your Ritual
A Vow Renewal is uniquely personal because it celebrates a history already written. Here are ways we can customize your ceremony:
The Ritual of Recommitment
The Retrospective: Honoring the history you share and the foundation you have laid together.
New Vows for New Times: Updating your promises to reflect the growth and wisdom you’ve gained throughout your years together.
Re-Blessing of the Rings: Renewing the symbols you have worn every day, charging them with fresh energy.
Anniversary Milestones: Incorporating colors or symbols associated with your specific anniversary year (e.g., Silver, Gold, or Emerald).
The 'Weaving of Years': If you originally had a Handfasting, we can use the original cords to 're-tie' the knot, symbolizing your continued choice to remain bound together.
Family Participation: Having children or grandchildren offer a blessing or place a flower in a unity vase to represent the growth of your family tree.
The Result:
The "Sacred Knot" of a marriage needs to be tightened and cared for over the years. A renewal ceremony is a beautiful way to celebrate the fact that you would choose each other all over again.
